Make the Diagnosis: Facial Ulcer - You Can’t Make this Up

MedpageToday

Presentation

A 48-year-old woman who frequently saw her doctor for various complaints, despite being in excellent physical health, came to the office concerned about a single lesion on her cheek/face. As a health care worker herself, she said she was concerned that the excoriation might get infected and asked for some kind of treatment. She denied knowing anything about the origin of the excoriation, which was in a geometric configuration surrounded by normal skin. Her doctor had previously diagnosed her with borderline personality disorder.
