A 68-year-old man visited his doctor about a lesion that developed on his mouth over the prior 2 months. On examination, a large, purple papule was seen on his lateral tongue. The lesion was asymptomatic and caused no discomfort to the patient. The patient reported no history of trauma and was not on any medications. The patient appeared well and was healthy.
